About
‘Ecoexplorer’ might conjure images of a dreadlocked dude travelling the world on a pedalo and a pogo stick, but my eco adventures (and disasters) are a little less exotic.
From my kitchen, garden and my adopted hometown of Coventry (slap bang in the middle of England), I’m trying to get a little greener and hope this blog might be a support group for anyone trying to do the same.
Or it’ll give the 4×4 drivers something to laugh at.
Either way, welcome and enjoy ecoexplorer.
My name’s Mary and I’m a local newspaper environment reporter. If you’ve got ecoexperiment suggestions, questions, or just have mud to sling, please fire away.

Eco-explorer, I think recipes should be tucked into seasonal boxes that specifically refer to ingredients contained therein. This would help cut down on food waste and also be of help to the less culinarily inclined.
Eagerly awaiting your seasonal recipe suggestions!
I was reading your I’ve been slimed blog re. veg boxes and couldn’t agree more! I look forward to my weekly box from Down to Earth…great value and makes you try something new!
thanks for putting my link on your blog. I love what you are doing and if you want anything from my blog feel free to post it on yours!
Many thanks for the Twitter follow! Love the idea for your blog and what you’re doing, and all in my home town of Coventry too. I’m trying to adopt a similar approach now I’ve moved down to the Cotswolds, as well as converting my family still up in the Midlands. Will go and add a link to my site!
Good luck
Lou
We like your carrots. We like you.
Eco Explorer, I stumbled across your site and thought it mezmerrical and its extremitorious wonder made me eschew all pollution making devices. In fact I cannot believe I have not found your site before - or that you’ve not told me about it! V impressed though. I’m now going to add it to my favourites. Wot wot! x
