Toilet Twinning

World Toilet Day is on it’s way. The big day’s Thursday but why not start the celebration early, fellow toilet lovers?

One of our local charities, CORD, has launched the world’s first toilet twinning project - a nifty little scheme to link up local loos with bogs in Burundi.

For £60 you can sponsor a loo that will be made by local people, with materials supplied by CORD, to serve a family of six.

Not bad is it, £60 to give a family a life-changing resource?

And, for your cash you get a certificate to hang in your loo, with a picture of the toilet your money has provided and its co-ordinates so you can take a peek at the real thing on Google Earth (hopefully without impeding on anyone’s privacy too much).

More about their brilliant bogtastic plan here.

It’s on my Christmas list.
